Good news / screwed up news.... the goods news, My E3 badges arrived today, and I'm damn near ready to roll. Ha. . . I can't wait!!! 

Bad news is the 3D Prophet GeForce that NVIDIA sent me is bad, only 16megs on the board register and it wont work at all in half the systems I have here. I have my main man Ryan at NVIDIA trying to fix me up though, hopefully I can swap this one out, and it won't delay the KGR. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but I just gave away my Annihilator Pro DDR board in the last giveaway. . . DOH!!!

If anyone knows a workaround or had had this problem, let me know. . . . . 

Weekend Action -Steve

O.K. freaks, bustin a little ass over the weekend to get this whole KGR done except for the 900MHz Athlon and MoBo that's on it's way from AMD. So I am trying to get it all together except for that so it'll be easier to get out the door. I have to really give some respect to Dr. John and the whole gang at KICKASS GEAR ,they hooked you guys up with a little "128mb PC133" action and a CDROM for the KGR, but at the same time, Dr. john himself sends me a cool little e-mail saying "Your stuff will be there in 2 days, here's your UPS tracking number" . Wow, if they handle stuff they GIVE AWAY like that, I can guarantee you, your paid for products will be treated even better. Here's a few progress pics to hold you over....

**Lisa Dixon Update**

O.K. this is the type of story you guys really get off on ( heh, pardon the pun!! ) but I have been hinting at a special Lisa Dixon article that has been coming.... well it's here!! Our resident Babe / Fitness Model has told Hypothermia that she has decided to have Breast Implant surgery. I have gotten the O.K. from Jason Hall ( Lisa's significant other ) to ask you guys my readers / Lisa's fans what size breast Lisa should get. This is for real. You'll notice on the left side of the page there is a poll set up specifically for this event. I have a nice set of pictures to Kick off this weeks installment of Hangin' out with Lisa. . .

I have recently met one of the most beautiful and talented women ever. Most of you know her through the many sites she operates such as , SpookHouse. . the Nocturne site. Or maybe it's from 3DActionPlanet. . . no?? Then for sure it's from Ragnarok, the sanctioned fan site for Rune. I know her from that damn reoccurring dream I have about her and I on a deserted Island . . . oops, did I say that out loud??

It's been a funny week here at Hypothermia. No sooner had I gotten the Athlon from Drew over at AMD . I lost my RAM supplier. . . DAMN!!! Then out of nowhere comes Dr. John from Kick-Ass-Gear to donate a 128mb stick of PC133 and a Toshiba CDROM drive. Wow.

If your a regular over at AGNHardware or a reader of PCGamer you've heard of Kick Ass Gear.... the fellas over at PCGamer liked their stuff so much, they gave them and Editors Choice Award. Well, you can now add me to the list of big supporters  of Kick Ass Gear. I'll give you another little tip, any company that will come out and back an up and coming site like mine JUST so you guys can get some free goods, DESERVES our business. Guess that's how they came up with the name... cause these guys truly KICK ASS!!!

**AMD to the rescue**

Are you ready for this?? With all the press about AMD and Intel being completely out of chips. . . I was a little bummed. I was bummed because I still needed a Processor to finish off the KGR. Here's how AMD came to the rescue. I was just contacted from WinHEC by my new friend Drew at AMD tellling me that not only is AMD going to give me a processor, . . Drew himself is actually going to take apart a rig and send me a 900MHz Athlon. 

Wow.... so the KGR will be done this coming week and I will pick a winner soon. . . get those entries in!!!!

O.K. you guys KNOW me well enough that I DO NOT normally have a bad thing to say about anyone. . . especially the people bustin' ass in the game industry right now. 

There are a lot of people out there IN the biz that were just trashed on pretty hard by my Daikatana RANT. I am a little self-righteous in the sense "sheesh, I can do better" thinking. What I didn't think about until I started getting all the letters saying "Dude, your right. . this game SUXORZ" , is what if they did limit textures etc. because this is a DEMO and since the thing is ALREADY hefty. . . more OR more complex textures are just more space. 

But I did, inadvertently, trash on some pretty cool people and their efforts. . . and if you look around this site, you could rip me a new one FOR MANY reasons. So keep that in mind. . . and be a little more objective than me when reading the article

Frustrating day. . . my cable modem has the BLISTERING download speed of a 56k modem and it shuts the cable off ( steals all the signal )in the whole house when running. Cable company says it's a low signal.... I say it frustrating as hell.

"Killer Gaming Rig" is damn close to being done.... I only need two more donations. So I am working on that hard. . ( one of my needs is for a monitor . . eek!! not easy ). So as soon as all the rest of my things come in, I will put that bad boy together and get some benchmarks done. I will draw a winner within a week of getting it done, so get your entries in.

Weekend Project

Since the weather here in Alaska is FINALLY coming around, I am getting my "other" projects lined up. I am an old car buff, and I am currently putting a 1970 SS Camaro together for my daughter. . . We have the paint & body work done, it's on to the interior replacement. All my co-workers got together for my birthday and bought me a complete interior kit ( carpet, front and back seats, headliner, door panels etc.) from Classic Industries for the Camaro. So me and the kids are gonna work on that.... 

Not computer related at all. . but you guys dig this stuff too.

One of the short comings of being a hosted site, or having your server in a remote location, is when it goes down. . . you are "ASS OUT".  Usually when your site is down, it's O.K., the hardware guys will have you back up in no time. . . there are however times when it sucks big fatties. . . . this might just qualify as one of them:

Everyone who has a website, most certainly tracks their visitors to better customize their site to better suit the needs of your visitors. I am one of those people. Anyone who has ever done an online interview has had a "dream interview" subject. . . the big one that would make you respected by all if you could just LAND that interview.

I have a few "dream interviews" and ALOT of them have come true during my recent round of interviews. . . one "dream interview" I haven't gotten yet. . is John Carmack so the other day, I ship out another request. . . explaining what it would mean to me and if Mr. Carmack had time. . please review my site. Well, here's a funny (sarcastic) one for you. . . my site has been down almost all day, but when I went to check my site traffic, who do you think I saw on the LIST OF PEOPLE WHO COULDN'T LOG ON!
