Wasn't it the movie "Field of Dreams" when the old guy says something real profound like "If you build it, they will come". . . . well, the following applies to my buddy Dan over at Tweak3D, "If you can tweak it, they will come".

The guy has a "Tweak guide for just about every damn thing there is... matter o' fact, right there on the front page of Tweak3D on the left hand side under Tweak Guides, it say's Yo' mama.  Dan the man, will even show you how he tweaked Yo Mama!!! Heh, O.K. I made that up. . . but if it could be done, dan would have a Tweak Guide for it!!!

Dans page has HELP thousands of people get the best outta what they have. And then when it's getting old and crusty... he'll show you how to tweak it some more!! One of the things that DID suprise me, is Dans a youngster! ! ! At 19yrs old, his advice is as good as gold and he is wise beyond his years...

                                          Before and After

1.)    How'd you get started in the WebMastering Game and/or who was your inspiration.

I got started because I had to design a web page for an assignment in my 11th grade computer repair class. When I first started up my site I didn’t really have any inspirations. I didn’t read many sites but I did play a lot of games. Back then there were only a handful of serious hardware sites anyhow.

2.) What's the most outrageous thing you ever did ON your site.

I once showed up to my English 110 class wearing nothing but a bow-tie.

Oh... on the site? I don’t know. We’re not too crazy over at Tweak3D. I guess some of our case cutting articles are pretty outrageous – especially the ones we’re working on right now. We’re hooking in extra power supplies to our cases and hacking the whole “chassis” to pieces with saws just to put more fans in. It’s really fun, except when your finger runs into one of the 120mm fans while it’s moving.

3.) People you admire in the industry. ( please limit your answer to 2 people and

     EXCLUDE me, thats a given. . )

There are hundreds of people I admire, but since you don’t want a list of hundreds of names,  I think I would plug two of my biggest inspirations: Billy at Voodoo Extreme and Kyle at HardOCP!

4.) What's the most annoying thing to deal with as a WebStud.
Interviews! J/k :)

I’d say the thing I find most annoying is when you’re working really hard to get an article up before anyone else, then someone beats you to the chase. Oh yeah, server problems suck too. I’ve had a lot of that in the past. :(

5.) Does your WIFE still nag you to "Get off that damn computer before I break it" now that your a famous WebDood.

I don’t have a wife (I’m only 19), but my family yells at me to get off the PC all the time.

So does my cat. But he’s jealous because he only wishes he could take me in Unreal Tournament.

6.) Tips you can give Web-Jedi in training

Stick with it, be fresh, unique, and have a good attitude. It takes a long time to build up a solid audience of faithful readers.  Stealing other peoples’ ideas and layout will make you look bad. Oh, and if you don’t know something about a topic, don’t bs. People will find out and it will only hurt your reputation in the long run.

7.) Drink of Choice

Citra! I don’t even drink caffeine. Here comes the hate mail!

8.) Tunes of Choice

I hate to be one of those guys that says, “I listen to anything but country”, but that describes me perfectly! My MP3 directory has about 400 mp3s (more on CDs, these are on my hard drive) of just about every musical genre that exists. Right now my playlist has some songs from The Offspring, Van Halen, Green Day, Nirvana, Tool, NWA, Blondie, The Doors, Minor Threat, Astral Projection, Orb, and Slipknot... plus some others. Weird combination... huh?

9.) Babe of Choice

I would definitely have to say Christina Aguilera. She’s my age, too. :)

and the bonus question

Where's the nickname come from?? A lot of people might get the WRONG idea. . . . what do you say when people address you by your nick. . . ya know, like " excuse me, Mr. Tweak. . . I have a question. . "

Some people actually call me “Mr. Monkey”. :)

I don’t mind. You get used to it over time. Most people that recognize the nick “Tweak Monkey” know my name is Dan.

Heh, I wanna thank Dan for being the cool ass tweak freak that he is, and for helping us all out with the great Tweak Guides. . . If your anything like I am, you had better hit the link and see what The Tweak Monkey has to offer you..

He just might get your ass out of a jam. I have found myself wandering the Tweak Guides for a few days trying everything out...
