Hangin'
with Lisa Dixon
Entering into the final
week before competition, I tracked Lisa down to get the goods on final
week preparation. Without further delay. . . . here's Lisa..
This being the week of competition is probably the hardest mentally!!
For some
reason eating something I am not supposed to is more enticing!!
I am sore all over but I won't have to do any cardio after Tues
morning. This is because I need to gather energy for the day of
competition, also cardio tends to make you hold a bit of water under the
skin and I need to get rid of that.

Speaking of holding water some other things that I do to get rid of
all that
excess water include, keeping my water at 2 gallons until thursday
when I half that and Friday where I just get to sip at it.
This is because your body takes 3 days to really react to anything,
by keeping
the water at 2 gallons I get my body used to releasing a lot
of water to compensate for the over-abundance I consume.
When I half it my body is still going to get rid of water at the same
rate for
therefore I will lose some of the stored water I have in me. I
also drop sodium from my diet 3 days out, and stop eating vegetables
due to their bloating affects.
The night before my show I will carb load on a piece of cheese
cake (I
can't wait!!!!) and the next morning I get to go to eat pancakes.
I do this because each gram of carbohydrate carries 3 molecules
of water with it into the muscle and filling them up (so any
water left in my body will get pulled into my muscle leaving my skin
tight and my muscles full - also fuelling me with more energy to
perform my routine.)

I have a few other things to do this week such as getting my finger
nails and my
toe nails done, doing a preview make-up job and putting
my tan on. :)

I am getting a little nervous as the time approaches to display all
my hard
earned work on stage in a tiny bikini. I have confidence though
that it will all pay of for me! :) I
am looking leaner but have a look for yourself!!!

*NOTE*
Many people seem to think that WOMENS BODYBUILDING and FITNESS
COMPETITORS are all the same. They are actually very different sports.
Although they contain many of the same aspects, they are vastly
different. . as are the results. Lisa and her friends are living proof,
see for your self:
